Temporary Tattoos

Temporary TattoosTattoos are great for a range of purposes: Self-expression, Art, Advertising, Religion and more.

Temporary Tattoos are a great way to be artistic with your body, but at the same time avoid the pain and possible regret associated with real tattoos. Temporary tattoos apply in seconds, last for days and look great.

There are thousands of temporary tattoo designs to choose from. From kids temporary tattoos, to both women’s body art and male body art you’ll find the design you’re looking for. Zodiac tattoos are especially popular as well as traditional hearts, butterflies and birds. Fake tattoos are a lot of fun and enable you to express yourself using body art depending on the mood you are in at the time. Fake tattoos come in many different sizes depending on where you want to put it and how much of a statement you want to make!

Temporary Tattoo transfers are made of ink and glue and last approximately 3-7 days or until removed. You can make a temporary tattoo last longer by avoiding rubbing and keeping it free from water as much as possible. While temporary tattoos are waterproof, it will wear down the tattoo faster.

To remove a temporary tattoo simply apply baby oil to the skin and wipe it off. Most tattoos are quite safe, but it’s best to check the ingredients to make sure you’re not allergic to any of the inks or ingredients being used.

Removable tattoos are a great fundraising idea or promotional tool. You can have your company logo made into a tattoo or any design you want. For custom temporary tattoos wholesale you’ll make a great impression on your customers and promote your business at the same time!

When you’re invited to dress up or Halloween party, make sure to complete your outfit by getting a matching temporary tattoo. Scars, wounds and/or boils are especially great for your pirate, flower designs for your hippies and pixies and angel wings on your back if you’re going as an angel. Or perhaps mix it up with a devil design with your angel outfit, it’s up to you. The sky’s the limit!

Tribal designs and armbands look great during summer when you get to show off a little more skin at the beach. Make sure not to rub them too much with your towel as this will shorten the life-span of the temporary tattoo.

There is practically any design you want available out there, and if you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for, then there is always DIY Tattoo Paper or Tattoo Decal Paper. It’s really easy to use and all you need is a computer, a printer and the tattoo paper and you’re set. This is also a lot of fun for kids to create and design their own tattoos.

And if you are leaning towards a permanent tattoo, then temporary tattoos are also a great way to decide on a real tattoo design. If you are finding it hard to decide on a permanent design why not try a few temporary ones to see how they will look and feel.

What is Body Art?

Temporary TattoosBody Art is art on, using or involving the body. Throughout history, one of the most popular artistic mediums has been the body, from body scarring and piercing to face painting and tattooing.

In history, tribal paints and tattoos were worn by tribe members to represent certain ranks and achievements. For many tattooing was a ritual performed when a person’s status changed from adolescence to adulthood. The different markings or designs varied for men and women and were greatly influenced by the tribe’s culture and beliefs.

In the modern day, tribes still exist. They consist of the various groups and gangs scattered throughout the world. Many gangs use tattoos as a form of identification of membership to a particular gang. As the tattoos are permanent the membership to the gang can be considered for life. Tattoos can also be a form of social status within a group. As one moves up the ranks of a group, he would receive new tattoos to convey his status.

In this way, sailors tend to get a tattoo for different achievements at sea or destinations reached. For example, when a sailor has travelled five thousand sea miles, he can get a bluebird on his chest. Or, if he crosses the Equator he can get Neptune tattooed on his leg. Another symbol of importance is the anchor, which means that a seaman has sailed the Atlantic Ocean.

In addition to tattooing and body painting, body piercing is another popular form of self-beautification and symbolism. Body piercing involves puncturing a hole somewhere in the body where jewellery or some form of adornment can be placed through. The most common form of body piercing is ear piercing. Some other popular body parts for piercing are: eyebrows, nose, lips, navel, nipple & genital areas. Reasons for piercing vary from person to person. Some are motivated by religious or spiritual reasons or simply want to express themselves. Others do it for sexual pleasure or to create a response from others.

In western culture, what is popular is greatly influenced by those in the public eye, such as celebrities, musicians and film stars. A lot of people get tattoos and/or piercing done to be like those they admire. While tattooing and piercing has been a ritual practice throughout most of history, in the last few years it has been practiced more as just an art form.

Stage and film performances often require a person’s body be partly or fully painted as part of their costume. Often fake tattoos are used to get the effect the director is looking for. Make-up and other body paints are a big form of body art in everyday life as well as in performance. Many women in the world wear make-up almost everyday. It has become commonplace to cover yourself up to create an enhanced version of you.

Body art is a form of expression all throughout the world but sometimes you only want the art on your skin for the night, not forever. Temporary tattoos are a great for this. They work well to complete a costume look and are equally popular with everyday outfits. Some people have religious or spiritual motivations or simply want to express themselves or share their beliefs. Body Art is a great way to achieve this.

What Are Permanent Tattoos?

Permanent tattoos are ink that has been injected into a layer of the skin to alter its pigment or color. The most common use for tattoos is artistic expression but there are other uses too. Such as: Self-expression, Advertising, Art, Religion, Identification and more.

No matter what your reasons are for getting a tattoo, deciding on a design can be a difficult choice!

There are hundreds of themes and thousands of designs out there to choose from. You might draw inspiration from something you see or an event that takes place in your life to help you come up with your own design.

When trying to come up with a design or mark to get tattooed, a great way to work out the best design is to keep a scrapbook or notebook with ideas, sketches and designs that you come across or think of and work from there. A permanent tattoo is just what it says: permanent. So when you’ve worked out what you think you would like for a permanent tattoo, it’s always to best to try before you buy, so to speak!

One good way to do this is to try a temporary one first. You can use DIY temporary tattoo paper to print the designs you like and test them out on your own skin to see how they look. You might also like to test how the tattoo will look on different parts of your body. This can be really helpful! In reality, what you originally thought would look good on one part may in actual fact look better somewhere else on the body. So, the only real way to know for sure is to test it out. And the best way to get a good representation of a permanent tattoo is with a fake one.

You can buy DIY temporary tattoo paper online and it’s also available at some stationary/office supply stores.

Temporary transfers are made of ink and glue and last approximately 3-7 days or until removed. You can make a temporary tattoo last longer by avoiding rubbing and keeping it free from water as much as possible. While they are waterproof, water will wear down the tattoo faster.

To remove the transfer sheet simply apply baby oil to the skin and wipe it off. Most tattoos are quite safe, but it’s best to check the ingredients to make sure you’re not allergic to any of the inks or ingredients being used.

Some of those who get a permanent tattoo then get hooked on it and don’t stop at just one. It can be a quite addictive. My recommendation is to test them out first and avoid any later regrets from rushing in. All the best on your tattooing adventure and good luck!
